Welcome to the recycle-more schools section. This section is for both pupils and teachers keen to learn more about the environment. Take a look at our key stage activities, read our rubbish facts or even try out some of the recycling games. The schools section is constantly developing so do keep coming back!

WEEE recycle-more - poster competition - Glasgow schools

WEEE recycle-more

Many thanks to all who entered. We have been overwhelmed by the response to this competition and the high standard of the entries.

Check out all of the poster entries below!

We asked Glasgow school children aged 12-14 to design a poster to help us tell the people of Glasgow that they can recycle-more electrical items when they visit the collection facility at Easter Queenslie. The standard of entries was extremely high. Please click on the thumbnails below to view each poster entry.

Winning poster entries

We would like to congratulate our competition winners from Hyndland Secondary School, and our runners-up from Drumchapel High School and St Roch's Secondary School.

The poster entries were judged by representatives from Glasgow City Council, Wincanton, Scottish Waste Awareness Group (SWAG) and Valpak. The winning poster was chosen because it clearly demonstrates that a wide range of electrical items, from the small WEEE category, can be taken to the Easter Queenslie civic amenity site to be recycled.
